Andrew Awe played varsity football at Mansfield Lake Ridge High School in Mansfield, TX. As a starting linebacker, he had 150 tackles, three sacks and five forced fumbles which led him to earn 6A All-District Honorable Mention, was ranked amongst the Top 25 Linebackers heading into his senior year, earned Academic MVP, earned 6A Academic All-District and 6A Academic All-State. In 2020, Andrew joined the Owls as a walk-on and worked hard to earn a spot on the team. The following year, Andrew made his collegiate debut with the Owls against USC and his work ethic continued to shine on the field surpassing previous records. 

In 2024, he ranked third on the team with a career-best 52 tackles and adding four tackles for a loss. His dominance on the field led to a career-best 411 snaps on defense and added 132 on special teams. Determined to make a statement his senior year, Andrew continued to excel in all categories surpassing his previous achievements. In 2025, Andrew had a break-out senior year earning him All-Texas Second Team with 106 tackles and ranking #5 in the American Conference. Recognized for his performance on the field, he earned Third-Team All-American, earned an All-American Honorable Mention and was a nominee for the 2025 Burlsworth Trophy for top walk-on. Most recently, Rice University honored Andrew Awe for the 2026 O.J. Brignance Award for Team MVP/Leadership. 

With a dominant performance at Rice University, Andrew Awe exemplifies how hard work pays off starting as a walk-on, being recognized for awards and earning American conference accolades.  Andrew has emerged as a strong NFL Draft prospect known for his size, agility, ability to read the play and execute with tackles. Andrew is a 6'2" 230 pound explosive linebacker that has been named "one to watch" in the upcoming NFL Draft. With an ever-growing fan base and national exposure, Andrew's marketability makes him an ideal candidate for future brand partnerships and collaborations.
