Emir Johnson is a certified NBPA agent with Player Above Sports Group. He brings a diverse background in sports business, athlete marketing, and brand partnerships, representing players with a strategic and player-first approach. A native of Atlanta now based in Los Angeles, Emir is driven by a passion for helping athletes build meaningful careers both on and off the court.

His journey began at Woodberry Forest School in Virginia, followed by earning both his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and MBA in Business Analytics from St. John’s University in New York City. While at St. John’s, Emir worked in the Athletic Department’s marketing division, gaining hands-on experience in branding and fan engagement.

Emir started his professional career at RBA Sports, where he contributed to athlete marketing and partnership development, helping secure deals with top brands including Muscle Milk, Dr. Dish, and Overtime. He then joined the New York Mets’ Corporate Partnerships team, managing activations and brand relationships with companies such as New Balance, Nikon, and Diageo.

Now with Player Above Sports Group, Emir combines his business insight, industry network, and personal commitment to athlete success to deliver thoughtful, strategic representation. He is focused on maximizing both performance and personal brand for each of his clients, empowering them to succeed at every level.
